"Arjé"
Term used by Greek philosophers of Miletus in Asia Minor. Thales, Anaximander, etc ... (sixth century before J.C.) principle or essence of all that exists. Property inherent in chaos, tend to order. original substance would be in all things. The principle (arche) for some would be water (Thales) to other air (Anaximenes).
Anaximandro another philosopher of the legendary core milesio, he said that common fund of all things must be an indeterminate invisible and amorphous substance from which water, air and all the elements of nature come. He called this principle "apeiron" (indeterminate). It must be sought in the statement Anaximandro early Greek belief that the world (the Cosmos, ordered) comes from Chaos.
